DEMIRE gains Ingo Hartlief, one of the most experienced personalities in the real estate industry, as Chairman of the Executive Board

Langen, Germany, 20 December 2018 - The Supervisory Board of DEMIRE Deutsche Mittelstand Real Estate AG today appointed Mr. Ingo Hartlief FRICS as a new member of the Executive Board and Chairman of the Executive Board of the Company with immediate effect until the end of 2021. Mr. Ingo Hartlief has many years of experience in the real estate industry, inter alia as Vice CEO & COO of CORPUS SIREO Real Estate GmbH, CEO of Swiss Life KVGmbH and Managing Director of Union Investment Real Estate GmbH.

The expansion of the Executive Board is intended to address the growing demands of the Company's planned portfolio growth. The current sole member of the Executive Board, Mr. Ralf Kind,  will remain member of the Executive Board of the Company.

Prof. Dr. Alexander Goepfert, Chairman of the Supervisory Board, commented: "We are pleased to have gained Mr. Ingo Hartlief, one of the most prominent personalities in the German real estate industry, for the Company. His extensive experience in the areas of investment and asset management, transactions and portfolio management will be of great benefit for the Company in its planned further growth.

The Supervisory Board would like to thank Ralf Kind for his achievements in his dual function as CEO/CFO and for the valuable contribution he has made to the development of the Company to date. In recent months, the Company has significantly increased its funds from operations (FFO I, after tax, before minorities) and significantly reduced the EPRA vacancy rate and net loan-to-value ratio. In addition, the increased forecast for the financial year 2018 was recently confirmed.
