Use of personal data when making contact

Insofar as personal data such as name, e-mail or postal address are collected, stored or processed, this is done within the scope of the statutory provisions, or to the extent that you provide us with this information of your own free will. We use said data in observance of this if you make an inquiry to us via the contact options on our website.

By using our contact form on the website or if you send us an inquiry by another means, you consent to our use of the information provided, in order to enable us to respond to your inquiry. Inquiries are also stored in order to be able to refer back to them in the event of subsequent related questions. You can object to the storing of the information at any time.

We only share your personal data with third parties if this is necessary to fulfil the purpose that you pursued with your communication of the data to us, or to meet statutory obligations, or if you have consented to the data being shared. Our staff and service companies are subject to non-disclosure and obligated to uphold data protection provisions and our internal guidelines.

The right to use and, where applicable, share the data to respond to your contacting of us results from Article 6(1) lit. a), b) and c) of the General Data Protection Regulation, because on the one hand you have issued your consent to the related use of the data by contacting us, and on the other hand it is necessary to use the data to issue the desired information or to meet the statutory obligations.
Subject to statutory retention periods, the data will be erased after completed processing of your query.

Use of technical data

When you use our website, the IP addresses of the users are stored short-term for technical and organisational reasons, in particular to ensure smooth connection to and easy use of the website as well as to defend misuse.

The authorisation to use the data to defend against misuse results from Art. 6(1) lit. f) of the General Data Protection Regulation, because we have a legitimate interest in effectively pursuing misuse and assisting the law enforcement authorities with their investigations.

The IP addresses are blocked immediately after being stored and only viewed if there is justified reason to do so in the above sense. After one month the IP address in question is erased.

If these data are analysed, then only anonymously for statistical purposes and to improve the functionality of this website. The anonymous data are stored separately from personal data and allow no conclusions to be drawn about any individuals. There is no consolidation of these date with data from other sources.

Cookies

Our website uses cookies to optimise its functionality in dependence on your browser settings. Cookies are small text files that are stored temporarily on your device. When you return to the server of our website, the browser sends the cookie received before back to the server. Matomo (formerly Piwik)

Our website uses the software Matomo (formerly Piwik), an open-source software for the statistical analysis of user accesses. Matomo (formerly Piwik) also uses cookies to enable the analysis of the use of the website by the users. The information generated by the cookie about the use of the website is stored on one of our servers in Germany. The IP address is anonymised immediately after the processing and before being stored (with the IP address being shorted by two bytes).

You can, however, prevent the respective cookie from being stored by selecting the appropriate settings in your browser. With the following options, you can also determine that Matomo (formerly Piwik) should not analyse your user behaviour.

In general, your browser must allow cookies to be stored, in order to be able to use the deactivation cookie. What is more, after deleting cookies, you have to reinstall the deactivation cookie.

Google Maps

Our website uses material from Google Maps. This map service is operated by the company Google Inc., 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA. In order to display the map material, it can be necessary for technical reasons that Google, in its capacity as provider of the content, registers the IP address of the users. Consent, withdrawal and objection

We erase the personal data stored about you as soon as they are no longer required for fulfilling the purpose that you pursued with your communication of the data to us and provided that no statutory obligation to retain the data opposes this, or if the continued storage is inadmissible for other legal reasons.
